if you believe that, sure - then multiply it by 7
so.... that's 0.21% of GDP - how will we ever recover?
and FWIW - early salvos of the war were stand-off weapons (Tomahawks= $$$)
Also, patriots fired to stop over 1,500 drones/missiles shot by Iran on the first day alone
Shots are down to a dozen or so.
After Air Superiority is established - primary munition is JDAMs = $50k a pop
But the media doesn't find those headlines as exciting as "First day missiles cost Billions!!!"
Most US losses were from the first few days:
* **E-3 Sentry (AWACS):** Damaged airframe (**$700 Million**)
* **F-15 Strike Eagle:** One airframe lost in combat (**$100 Million**)
* **KC-135 Stratotanker:** One lost refueling aircraft (**$160 Million**)
* **AN/TPY-2 Radar Systems (2 units):** Destroyed in Jordan and Qatar (**$1.0 Billion** total)
