Going to buy HOOD puts tomorrow for their shitty UI app update
Fidity UI sucks so ignore percentage values on UI.
Given their market share is 6-8% and the kids growing up love an app, whilst the brokers for older users are so anti Ui friendly, this will be a banker in the next 3-5 years.
High yield mostly. I'm on a 60 day trial for all the benefits but it seems most aren't up yet. Such as the cash delivery and estate planning service. The UI is really nice though. Might eventually make it my primary bank.
Actually they have the best ui in the business. Frankly i bought hood just for their ui and ease of use
Best UI out and very informative. I learned more about stocks from the UI/setup than I did at my university šŸ¤·šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļø. That is saying A LOT! Long term buy/holding.
Yep, everyone talks shit, but most of the trades (even large one's) on here are using it. Including myself. It's clear they put more investment into a good UI than any other brokerage. You see a lot of hate here because there's a lot of retail traders on the conspiracy side of "they're part of the system that fucked us during {{insert diamond hands/GME/shit ticker/circuit breaker scenario here}}". The other brokerages also halted trading (if not more in some cases), but these $50 brokerage andies just weren't on Schwab to see it.
Yeah I like SoFi too. However I think Robinhood’s UI/UX is better though. But bullish on SoFi excited to see how this plays out
From ChatGPT: "Coinbase’s high fees are sustained by **trust, regulation, and convenience**, which became far more valuable after the 2022-2023 exchange collapses (FTX, Celsius, Voyager, BlockFi, etc.). Here’s the breakdown: # 1ļøāƒ£ Perceived safety and regulatory clarity * Coinbase is a **publicly listed U.S. company (NASDAQ: COIN)**, subject to SEC reporting, PCAOB audits, and U.S. GAAP. * Customer assets are **segregated** and held 1:1 (not rehypothecated). * It’s one of the few exchanges that **hasn’t had a major hack, insolvency, or freeze event** in over a decade. * U.S. users value this regulatory perimeter: FDIC-linked fiat accounts, SOC 2 compliance, and legal recourse in U.S. courts. → This ā€œtrust premiumā€ is worth paying for, especially post-FTX. # 2ļøāƒ£ Ease of use and fiat access * Instant ACH/credit card purchases, simple interface, auto tax reporting, and broad integrations (PayPal, Apple Pay, etc.). * Kraken or Gemini are slightly less polished, and Binance US has reduced fiat rails and limited availability in some states. * Retail users are less fee-sensitive when the UI and on-ramp are seamless. # 3ļøāƒ£ Reputation risk after FTX * After FTX blew up, even experienced traders migrated to platforms with **transparent audits and legal entities in the U.S.** * Binance (and Binance US) suffered reputational spillover and regulatory crackdowns; Gemini faced its Earn-program lawsuit. * Coinbase became the **default ā€œsafe harborā€** for Americans who don’t want to risk frozen accounts or opaque offshore custody. # 4ļøāƒ£ Psychology and inertia * For small U.S. investors, a few dollars of extra fees per trade feels trivial compared to the peace of mind of ā€œCoinbase is safe.ā€ * People rarely move platforms once KYC, bank links, and portfolios are set up. " I agree
You need to sim it in a UI like Think or Swim. Visualize the max loss/max win. Once you sim and trade them for a few years you'll be able to calculate and visualize in your head.
