You do solar where there’s sufficient land. Or even better - multi purpose land. Over parking lots, rooftops, water ways, etc. It works really well at scale too, but nuclear will always win as far as effectiveness for the landmass. The good news is we have a lot of unused land in the US, the solar panels in the Mojave region are doing good.
