Clearing the code doesn't work by itself since smog wants to see your system as "test ready", which doesn't happen until driving like 10 cycles which will cause your CEL to pop back up
O2 spacer could work though yeah
They sell tiny catalytic converters the size of your thumb that screw into the oxygen sensor bung and then the oxygen sensor screws into them. Around $50. Then get a OBD2 scan tool off amazon, I think mine was $20. Clear the code. There’s a chance you’ll still pass smog as the acceptable ranges are wider than your car’s ECU.
