"Consumer tailwind. Cheaper imports = lower prices. Everyone gets a de facto stimulus check through savings." except prices never really ever actually go down. why would they? People are still buying tic tacs at $2.50, milk at $4, chicken thigh at $3.50 a lb, on and on... why would they lower the price if you're buying it as is anyways? They'll just do what they always do -> turn those savings into record profits.
I was working out alone at this small gym walking on the treadmill listening to music on my earbuds when this 125 lb guy comes in kinda shy averting his gaze he gets on the assisted pull-up bar and starts screaming after each rep. His machine is facing directly at me 15 ft away. Survived his first set but after he began his next I had to bail. His screams were stressing me out and I didn't want it to mess with my day any more than it had. Effin A some people..
DXY at 100.00 is freaking gross. Bessent pumping air into a leaking pool float to hold up a 400 lb orange fruit
So in your eyes, $20/lb is cheap for ribeyes. Intresting
From my 600 lb life
I just want good food. Not that price is no object, and I don't a 14 lb of food, just please, have some self-respect, and do it right.
We're all 350 lb neckbeards, so once you factor in triple meat, guac, and 2 sides and a liter of cola... It's not cheap getting 6,000 calories in a single meal!
That's because their food used to be cheap and good quality per lb back in like what.. 2011? A chicken bowl was like $6.50 for like 7 years, now in 2025 its $11.65 for less quality.
apparently a lot of people don't like that part which I'll take when its a $1 a lb at the store.
That's what I buy it for in bulk at my local restaurant depot warehouse. Cheapest I've seen in bulk from a normal consumer location is ~$2/lb
