Exactly and we are a much bigger country in land mass....no comparison! We must have cheap energy to run this beast of ours!
Does any of this market make any sense? No. It's la-la land. Stocks only go up. You think all the rich people are going to go broke? Lmao please. Look at whos running the casino.
when Xi visit, we gonna open it up, and the leftover workers from auto will move on to Datacenters, on land, mobile, and in space.
You would think that domestics would have taken some learnings from markets mentioned like BR and brought some compelling offers to the US but nooooo. Best they can do is an unwanted feature laden land yacht gas hog with dealer markup and a 100 month loan term that will self-destruct the moment it's out of warranty. I honestly blame American's financial literacy for this issue as much as anything else. Buying a car or truck post pandemic pretty much across any segment has become an exercise in financial self-flagellation. Yet morons keep coming back for more punishment rolling over loans because "new thing good". Drive a 2010- 2020 paid off Toyota or Honda, keep up on maintenance, never look back. Invest the difference. Hooray, you can retire someday.
I think people have a point, to a degree. When a big factory comes to your town it belches polution but it provides a living (in the past lol) to the families in the town. It's an implicit social contract. With a data centre there are no jobs. it is a big fuckoff building that eats power, drives up the price of land and more importantly construction (aka down the supply of housing), and at the end of the day may as well be in Africa. Now yeah, just kicking it to the other side of the world with no concern for the consequences is stupid, but I don't think its entirely propoganda to see that as a shit deal. You're correct the answer is to regulate the data centres to make them less shit, but the US is allergic to effective regulations (and some would argue the EU is addicted to stiffling ones). Answer to propoganda is to offer people an alternative, not to ignore it.
This is most of modern technology. It is green, safe, and efficient for the people consuming it while drowning the people making it in toxic metal. Waiting for the CEOs to realize they can buy dirt cheap land in Africa with mercenaries to protect it and build their data centres there, use the dirtiest fuel to run them with no regulations, and serve the American market with the compute. It's the logical lizard response to American public hostility to data centres.
Welcome to Willy Wonka Land, first time?

I love the fact that Sir Francis Drake, set forth upon this land and let it be known to all hence forth that his Queen was a virgin
Population is low. Land mass is big. Houses must be cheap.
