IMO yes and no. On one hand it would finally give some much needed competition into the US auto market, however most Chinese brands are currently subsidized HEAVILY by the Chinese government to intentionally undercut markets and get a foot in the door. That being said I feel like it could help because like I said it would give American manufacturers more competition especially with pricing, but once the subsidies go away for Chinese vehicles, I feel like people will just go back to buying American or Asian for the most part since they’ll be closer to a normal price point. Plus we have no idea what the sales and vehicle service model would look like in the US.
