The economies of scale that decades of central planning merged with capitalism, has reaped dividends for China. Im not sure how the U.S. can compete with a decades head start, vertical monopolies, and the co location of suppliers in centralized hubs. This is anathema to our culture and governmental philosophy. We need to take a page out of China's book and not compete in the same technologies but pivot to new ones like evtol or electric short distant aircraft.
