I'm starting to think fundamentals just don't matter. The market makers use algorithms that prey on our emotions to steel our money. It seems like the price action is planned out ahead of time with a few random movements to throw people off. I also think it's the media's job to make up reasons why the market moves the way it does and to also target our emotions.

Investor masses don’t just panic sell when the market is bad. They also sell in masses as an exclamation ending to a good run up. Like capping off a good run with a mass exodus to declare the preparation for a new run and letting the market correct
