If this happens, China and other American govt bag holders are going to liquidate their American debt so fast. Currency markets will start a trade off and the dollar will lose half it's current value.  When Obama and Co bailed the banks out the USA was still regarded largely as wise for doing so. There was some eye brows raised from the austerity crowd, but it could be calmed. Now? No. Trumps incompetence has them all spooked. It could get real bad.  On the plus side, I might actually get to find out what the rich taste like.
