You could have just bought leaps and ignored the market while dealing with the infant for the time being, now that you have capital again I'd recommend making the right choices this time. It's not about the market, it's about trading while being sleep deprived and annoyed. Also WeBull is an even more dog shit Chinese knockoff equivalent of Robinhood, so I have no idea why you'd ever use that over IBKR or Thinkorswim.
im unsure i'd even call this loss porn, 500>20k is still a dab; folks here would sell their nana and their dog just to get back to 0 lmao. congrats man on a relatively successful strategy
You were in the right neighborhood for big gains with SPYX, CAR and SNDK, and you didn't blow it all, so hats off to you. The goal is to minimize losses, to play for singles while being in position for the home run. With options, that often means closing or hedging a position when you go let the dog out, or attending to a child. you can watch for 4 hours, then blink and miss the move... sometimes in your favor but most often the other way.
Yes you'll miss opportunities by playing conservative, but the good news is that you won't take a big loss, and there will always be other opportunities.
