Waiting for WWE's upcoming earnings report? A few things we're thinking about:

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is ready to report earnings on August 09. Here's a few things you should know about before they make the announcement.

Analyst opinions suggest World Wrestling Entertainment will report an EPS (earnings per share) of $0.55, GAAP Estimate
$0.58, and Revenue Estimate $321.22M. Over the las 90 days, 5 analysts have revised number up while 3 have revised them down.

There are two primary things that WWE bulls will be concerned with. The first is that the reported EPS beat the estimates of analysts. Stocks respond favorably to that news. The second is that the report outlines a positive growth story for the stock in the coming quarters.

If you're a bear you'll primarily care about two things. The first is that the reported EPS underperformed analysts estimates. The stock should move on just that news alone. The second is that the report paints a pretty depressing picture of how the company will decelerate or even see a decline in revenues over the following quarters. EPS underperformance, and a negative growth story, those are the things to watch.

Regardless of which side of the fence you're on, it's important to note that sometimes the company's earnings report plays less of a role in moving the price than the analysts' estimates. This is because the company's earnings report is a snapshot of the company's performance, and the analysts' estimates are a consensus projection of the company's future.

Share price moves can have an impact on existing shareholder sentiment. As of August 01 shares of WWE are trading at $69.31. Over the last 52-week period, the price is down -5.49%.
