Crazy prediction time: mark this. BBBY filed to sell PREFERRED shares. Aka, those with a different ownership structure than commons. Currently, there are 1m preferred shares existing. Coincidentally they filed to sell 1m preferred shares at any time. Upon sale of a company, all those who own shares receive some form of reimbursement (whether in shares of something new or in money). RC sold his stake in BBBY aggressively. Crazy prediction: BBBY will buy GME in exchange for preferred shares +/- cash. This will effectively be a merger disguised as a sale to force all GME shorts to cover.
